A thief pummeled a man and took off with $100 after a squabble about buying candy at a Brooklyn mall earlier this month, new video shows.
The 22-year-old victim was inside the Kings Plaza Shopping Center in Mill Basin just before 5 p.m. Feb. 6 when he approached another man, looking to buy candy from him, according to police.
The victim handed over $100, but the seller insisted the bill was fake — sparking a fight between the two men, cops said.
The suspect punched the victim in the face at least twice, knocking him to the ground, before fleeing down the stairs with the $100 bill still in tow, according to authorities and surveillance video released Monday evening.
The victim refused medical attention for a cut on his face, and the suspect was still on the loose Tuesday.
