Team president Sandy Alderson has been on the back fields during workouts the last two days. Alderson spent the last two springs in Arizona with the A’s, for whom he served as an adviser.

Former Phillie Jerad Eickhoff, in camp on a minor-league deal, was inducing swings and misses with his offspeed pitches during live batting practice.
Wednesday’s Schedule
Full-squad workouts continue in Port St. Lucie. The exhibition opener is Monday against the Marlins in Jupiter, Fla.
