The California Highway Patrol reopened the bridge to southbound traffic shortly after 12:15 p.m., while northbound traffic was delayed as authorities cleared the area where protesters had been staging their demonstration. Police and CHP officers arrested protesters before reopening the bridge to traffic in both directions by around 12:20 p.m. The protest caused significant traffic disruptions for commuters and travelers using the bridge, but normal traffic flow was eventually restored once the protesters were removed from the area.
